Out of El Paso at 35,000 feet
the land exposes its circuitry,
the shape of living in
triplicate; topography of microchip roofs
and mess of shimmered bodies
unbending their mileage.
Ores of molten springs
open and glaring; uneven boundaries alive
with the wired currency of city plats, crackling
into steppes; electric
with the copper-headed dust
of settling connections.
