Welcome.
Did you know that Robinson Crusoe is based, at least in
part, on fact? That there was actually this man—one Alexander Selkirk,
who left his village for the sea at the tender age of 19 and, following
a quarrel with his ship's captain some years later, actually requested
to be deserted?
Well, it's true. Did you know, also, that he was a pirate?
These are just a few of the interesting tidbits you can pick up
here at the Balmar—complete with the incredible sea-view and water that
won't make you ill. It is a bargain among subtropical paradises,
especially in this offseason when so much seems to happen in malls.
Go on, enjoy your stay, see what the locals are up to. We know
you'll enjoy the breeze. Just don't expect carolling. We're not into
carolling.
Special notice to cowgirls: umbrella drinks served
nightly until 2AM at Slippery's.
Bring your own saddle.
Dwellings: coming Summer 2004. For details see Avatar
